Welcome back to the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop! I hope your week is off to a great start. I’m joining you today still riding the excitement from the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina — what an incredible event it turned out to be. I honestly think this may have been my favorite Winter Games ever.
I’ve always found it interesting that I enjoy the Winter Olympics even more than the Summer Games. There’s just something about them that feels a bit more daring, a bit more intense. I recently heard a quote that made me laugh because it felt so true: the Summer Olympics showcase what humans can achieve, while the Winter Olympics showcase what humans can survive. That pretty much sums it up!
And as an American, I couldn’t be prouder of Team USA. From the historic gold medal win by the men’s hockey team to the stunning performance by Alysa Liu in figure skating, there were so many unforgettable moments, including many moments that did not earned a medal. Truly, the entire event was phenomenal.
